Tarangire Express 2024

During this 10-day photo tour you travel through Tarangire National Park, a reserve teeming with wildlife.

The trip starts with an intensive practical photography workshop in Arusha National Park, to be photographically prepared for the beautiful Tarangire.

Tarangire is a very photogenic park, known for its large elephant population and the picturesque river that meanders through the baobab-decorated landscape. Over the years, all participants in Ingrid's safari in northern Tanzania have rated Tarangire as the highlight of the trip. That is why it was about time to meet the demand of many and give Tarangire as a nature retreat and photography paradise the attention it deserves.

Practical info:

This trip focuses entirely on wildlife photography.

Testimonials

My very first trip to Tanzania with Ingrid. What an experience. Not only in terms of nature, also in terms of accommodation (top lodges in top locations), but above all what a hostess! I've never experienced this before. Ingrid had arranged everything down to the last detail....
As a non-photographer and not a morning person, I decided to go on this trip with my (photographer) husband. It was an intense but fascinating and educational trip. Thanks to the eagle eyes of the driver/guide and the alertness of Ingrid, no lion, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, elephant, ... or...
Ingrid knew in advance that I am not a fan of group travel, but after a successful workshop on "Wildlife Photography" I wanted to give it a try. Her professionalism in giving each participant sufficient attention during the workshop and assisting with individual coaching convinced me to also...
I had a fantastic trip with Ingrid. She has the patience and expertise to teach you everything about Africa and (wildlife) photography. The groups are small, so that everyone (who wants) can enjoy personal guidance and feedback. The entire trip was planned and taken care of down to the final...
For the fifth time on a (photo) trip with Ingrid. And again a very nice trip with beautiful photo moments. Seen and photographed a lot. Including groups of lions, elephants, leopards and large groups of buffalo. Not to forget the beautiful birds. Observing and photographing young elephants is...
Africa continues to fascinate, even if it is not the first time you visit it, certainly with a guide like Ingrid. The Tarangire park is relatively unknown but offers so many (photographic) opportunities. The lodges are truly sublime, especially the camp situated on a hill with a view of the...
Traveling with Ingrid is always nice, she spoils you and makes sure the trip runs perfectly for everyone.
Under Ingrid's always professional guidance, this time we went to Tanzania ... Once again everything was well organized: the lodges (usually luxurious in prime locations), the parks (various landscapes, but each impressive in itself) and the guides/drivers (perfect 'spotters' with a lot of...
To Tanzania. And that after Uganda? Isn't this going to be an anticlimax? No! It was another great trip with the well-known Vekemansian ingredients: tireless and experienced drivers/game spotters, “wow” accommodations and food, and the necessary tips and critical photo analysis from Ingrid....
5 years ago I went on safari with Ingrid for the first time, and when I was back in Belgium I thought I'd repeat that again... only leave arrangements and a pandemic have meant that it was now 5 years later. And looking forward to something for 5 years raises expectations. And look, the...
Tanzania… a distant dream came true. Africa has once again lived up to its reputation. We were able to tick off our list completely thanks to our wonderful guides who worked all day for us “crazy Belgians” and searched for game large and small with endless patience! Together with the tireless...
Why Africa with Ingrid? She showed me the heart of Africa and taught me how to take pictures in a way that keeps touching me.
Always a great atmosphere with stays in very pleasant lodges/tented camps. A professional guidance from a top photographer... it's always a pleasure to go to Africa with Ingrid!
This safari was a unique experience. You get very close into contact with the African animal world. But the best part was Ingrid's photographic guidance: practical and personal. Her passions for the country, the animals and the photography are clear and drag you into a motivational overall...
Africa, a continent full of surprises, full of beautiful colors, natural opulence, a big zoo ... Ingrid takes you on an adventurous, fascinating and challenging adventure in this super-large, fun zoo. Because going on safari you do with high expectations ... in the hope of ... and for making those...
The safari was an experience beyond my wildest dreams... We were warned in advance that you never know what you will see. However, with the experience of Ingrid and the drivers we managed to spot, follow and photograph so many animals, much more than I ever expected. To see an elephant and a lion...
I have to say I'm extremely enthusiastic about the whole thing. It was fun and super...Before I realized I was on holiday, I was back home again. That shows how good it really was. For me the photography was a revelation and very instructive.
This was my 12th safari and the last two - with Ingrid - were without a doubt the best of all. The accommodation and food are at least on the level of a very good commercial safari. But then the real pluses: maximum 4 people in a jeep (there's just one row of seats taken out, so you have lots of...
This trip was (again) a success in all respects. Perfectly organised, a good atmosphere and excellent tutoring in photography and wildlife observation. The choice of accommodation and the very neat and shipshape meals make you feel comfortable and safe. The nature is overwhelming and with a bit of...
A big thank you for the Tanzania trip, I have thoroughly enjoyed it. You were extremely well prepared and we could feel that during the trip: nothing could go wrong or the solution was already at hand (even for cancelled flights). I had expected that Africa would get to me, but not to this extent…...
Michiel and I are very happy about the safari. We have learned a lot about photographing wildlife in the right way. We saw lots of animals, beautiful scenery and met great people... For us it was an amazing and wonderful adventure to explore Africa and Tanzania. The beautiful colors of the birds,...
